I Am Inspired

IntellIgence
As an interdisciplinary somatic healing artist, I am constantly engaged in the work of the thread; a single thread that has the power to divide and connect.
The elements of my work embody the alchemy of thought and how the flesh responds. It’s an exploration of how the body responds to intention, vulnerability, and transformation. It embodies intimacy while being rooted in the belief that conversation is its own form of art~ a powerful medium to create tangible pieces that speak to the value of connection. Through an intuitive flow of inquiry, guidance, and open space, I invite moments of reflection. I draw from a variety of mediums: captured moments, Shibari, embroidery, paint, and eggshells to name a few. It is then shaped from sparks of creativity into something visceral. This is Art by Le’.
My work deeply engages with both personal and social themes. It explores the intersection of intimacy, the vulnerability of the body, and the cultural forces that seek to control or shame experiences. While reflecting on how often women’s bodies are often subject to external judgment, my art reflects the journey of reclaiming self-connection, personal agency and empowerment.
At the core of my practice is a commitment to evolution~ both as an artist and woman. I continue to deepen my understanding of how we connect, how we share space and how we celebrate the skin we’re in. Through the lens of transparency, I am honoring the ongoing journey of healing and transformation. I look forward to building and sharing this journey with others, through art, conversation, and presence.
BIOGRAPHY~
A BRIEF CREATIVE CHRONICLE:
Sarle’ is an integrative expressionist whose work moves fluidly across mixed-media photography, fiber installations, and the living canvas of flesh in rope. Rooted in a hybrid approach to making, her practice centers the relationship one has with self while honoring intimacy, transformation, and the resilience that rises through adversity. A Marine Corps veteran, she first encountered the philosophies of Kintsugi and Kinbaku-bi while stationed in Japan. That moment in her life continues to influence and shape the way she communicates healing, beauty, and belief through her art. Today, she cultivates an expressive body of work that illuminates the radiance within her subjects while thoughtfully engaging with their shadows.
On April 1, 2024, she debuted “The Thread of Resilience” at the VA Hospital: an installation that explored PTSD and the experiences of veterans diagnosed with MST. Through this work, she created a space of honor, visibility, and remembrance for those navigating these often-unspoken wounds.
Later that same month, Sarle’ premiered her “What Are You Bound To?” art show and series, an exploration of shame, connection, and personal truth. Shot across New York, Maryland, and Atlanta, the project invited community members to engage in open dialogue about shame, how it’s carried, and how it evolves. The series later expanded into a “What Are You Bound To?” couples edition, deepening the conversation through relational dynamics. In 2026, she will begin the “What Are You Bound To? Mother–Daughter Edition,” created in honor of the third anniversary of her mother’s transition. This chapter pays tribute to the bond between mother and daughter, and the lessons woven through that intimate, formative space.
A Long Island native, Sarle’ is also an author and orator. Her forthcoming book, For All The Moments After, will be released in 2026, accompanying the ongoing evolution of her artistic work. Jeffries has exhibited at Art Basel Miami with The Fearless Artist, the Harlem Fine Arts Show, and the African Museum of Long Island, and has been featured on BET with “The Womb Room” installation with TFA.
