In the heart of Brooklyn at Hadiiya Barbel’s “Zae’s Vibration” location, a vibrant collaboration between Nyarai Waistbeads of Atlanta and I happened. As enthusiasts of the thread, we created “The Tying Ceremony.” Fusing the intricate artistry of Shibari and waist beads, this event became a celebration of femininity, unity, and empowerment. Together we intertwined our essence and embraced the beauty of tradition and community. We adorned our bodies and uplifted our spirits through dance, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who participated.
